Boutique Hotel in Chania.

A contemporary tribute to the layered history of Chania.
This boutique hotel draws inspiration from historical architectural elements of the city, reinterpreting them into a minimal, monolithic structure that anchors the urban corner with presence and elegance.

The solid base, referencing the Venetian fortification walls of the old city, grounds the building with a sense of permanence and protection.
Terracotta filters, arched voids, and planted balconies create a dialogue between shadow and sunlight — offering privacy, rhythm, and texture to the façade.
The ground floor negotiates between openness and enclosure — shielded on one side for privacy, while unfolding toward the street where interaction is encouraged.

Design Object: Dairy Store

Design Team:

Objective: To revive the atmosphere of Athens from an older era. The scents of blooming orange trees and the apartment buildings with their mosaic floors create a nostalgia for the past in the present. Thus, the store features a retreat to create a threshold, a meeting point.

In the design, white shades reminiscent of the Greek light were chosen, allowing the products to emerge as the main element of composition. Metal and wooden elements highlight specific areas in the space, while the ceiling plays a central role in the design with its organic form.

Nestled on a sun-kissed hill in Schinias, Greece, this newly renovated modern retreat offers breathtaking views and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Earthy tones and elegant black metal details create a calm atmosphere flooded with natural light through expansive windows.

Upper-level bedrooms feature modern circular windows, fostering a playful connection with nature. The basement retreat offers a private area with an ensuite bedroom and kitchenette for comfort and privacy.

Outdoor spaces, including a pool area and shaded dining/living space with a pergola, maximize enjoyment of the views. Designed with natural materials like stone and concrete, this retreat harmonizes effortlessly with its surroundings, respecting the site's natural splendor.

Cosmos Luxury Villa, captures beautifully the essence of modern hospitality while providing an urban oasis. Originally built in the bustling 90s tourist boom, the renovation aimed to meet contemporary hospitality standards, with two imposing vertical walls serving as a visual barrier, creating a private retreat amidst the urban hustle. The lower level extends to the site limits, supporting the upper level and enhancing the separation from the surroundings.

The exterior showcases a sophisticated play of colors – a rich copper hue for the base, beams, and yard walls, contrasting the upper level's warm beige tones. The villa's design overcame structural challenges, removing an exterior escalator tower to create space for a private yard. The lower level features beams extending to the vertical walls, forming private outdoor areas that seamlessly integrate with the pool, sitting space, bar, BBQ area, and outdoor gym.

On the ground floor, discover the main living areas, a guest master bedroom, and a bathroom. Ascend to the first floor hosting three master bedrooms adorned with minimalist interiors, boasting wood accents and warm beige tones. In the basement, auxiliary spaces, storage, a sauna, and an additional master bedroom with a private exterior subterranean yard and pool offer a complete, luxurious experience.

Revitalized in 2022, this 150 sqm holiday sanctuary underwent a striking restoration and redesign, transforming from an abandoned space into a modern residence with commercial potential.

The primary aim was to harmoniously blend contemporary living with local architectural charm, breathing new life into a structure that had been uninhabited for years. Positioned in the northern part of the village, Kaliva Residence offers an uninterrupted sea view, setting the stage for an idyllic retreat.

With two meticulously crafted floors, including a ground floor adorned with a swimming pool and a second floor boasting a terrace with breathtaking sea views, every aspect of the residence was thoughtfully considered. The interior underwent a complete makeover to cater to the client's needs, introducing a second bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and optimizing the space with a redesigned staircase.

Preserving the authenticity of the original building, we unveiled and repurposed its stone walls, paying homage to the local heritage. The exterior and interior stone walls, complemented by earth tones, natural materials, and touches of green, create a serene ambiance, seamlessly merging the residence with its natural surroundings. An exterior staircase leading to the terrace not only enhances accessibility but also deepens the connection with the inspiring views.
