A home shaped by silence, light, and horizon. Set gently within the landscape, this residence balances clean geometric lines with raw, tactile materials. Stone walls rise from the earth, grounding the structure, while expansive openings dissolve the boundary between inside and out. The living spaces unfold around a calm, open core, where light moves freely throughout the day, creating a constant dialogue between architecture and nature.

The layout is designed for both privacy and connection—intimate rooms are carefully tucked away, while the main living area extends outward to shaded terraces and outdoor seating. Here, everyday life flows seamlessly into the surrounding environment, framed by soft vegetation and distant views. Subtle details, natural textures, and a restrained palette enhance the sense of calm.

This is not just a house, but a quiet retreat—an architectural gesture that embraces simplicity, atmosphere, and the beauty of living slowly within the landscape.

[chilling timelessly] 🌶️🕰️ - Chilling timelessly reflects our approach to architectural intervention when working with a timeless Athenian apartment - a space shaped by its era, proportions, and urban context.

The owners of this second-hand apartmentay to engage in one of our most meaningful ways of working: carefully unraveling the existing structure and reinterpreting it through a contemporary architectural lens. Rather than imposing a new identity, the design process focused on understanding the apartment’s original character and enhancing it with subtle, deliberate interventions.

​Working within the constraints of the building itself, we chose to highlight the architectural era of the apartment, typical of an Athenian block of flats, while introducing modern - day comfort, improved functionality, and refined material choices. The result is a balanced dialogue between past and present - where original spatial qualities coexist with contemporary living standards.

​This project is an example of how apartment renovation in Athens can respect architectural heritage while responding to today’s needs, proving that timeless design is not about nostalgia, but about continuity and thoughtful evolution.

[The whisperers of the quiet strip] 😚😙😗 the air creature

Rising above the abandoned airstrip, the Air Creature functions as an elevated birdwatching tower and wildlife observation platform within the Icelandic wetland landscape.

The structure is conceived as a simple vertical lookout that allows visitors to experience the environment directly — exposed to wind, light, and the sounds of the lagoon. Rather than isolating people from nature, the tower intensifies the connection between architecture, landscape, and wildlife observation.

At the top, a perforated metallic enclosure acts as an acoustic device that captures and amplifies the calls of migratory birds. The tower becomes both a birdwatching observation tower and a listening instrument for the surrounding ecosystem.

Clad in charred black timber with warm red interiors, the structure frames panoramic views of the lagoon while creating a quiet space for environmental awareness and birdwatching.

Here, architecture becomes a minimal intervention — a platform to observe the Icelandic landscape, migratory birds, and the fragile wetland ecosystem.

The Whisperers of the Quiet Strip

Participation in the YAC – Young Architects Competitions | Abandoned Airport international competition with our proposal - “The Whisperers of the Quiet Strip.”

Set in Djúpivogur, Iceland, the project reimagines the abandoned airstrip not as leftover infrastructure - but as a living threshold between land, water, and sky.

Three architectural presences inhabit the lagoon:
– The Water Creature
– The Air Creature
– The Ground Creature

Not objects. Not monuments. But quiet vessels of observation. Constructed from marine-grade concrete and charred black timber, with warm red interiors carved to host families and professionals alike, the structures create immersive spaces for birdwatching, environmental awareness, and collective experience.

[carved into] 🛠️🗿

This tiny home project explores how contemporary architecture can remain silent and powerful at the same time. Gently placed on the hillside above Faros, Sifnos, the house follows the natural terrain and existing stone formations, becoming part of the Cycladic landscape rather than an object imposed on it. The intention was not to dominate the site, but to allow the building to settle naturally into its context, responding to scale, climate, and topography.

The architectural design was led by Flora Koraki , in collaboration with Thodoris Tousas and his practice.

Overall development and ex*****on of the project (project management) were undertaken by Space Dreams, ensuring that architecture, construction, and site conditions worked together as a unified system.

[the sifnos landscape] We are very proud to present a thoughtfully designed and fully developed architectural project in Sifnos. This project is a clear example of how contemporary architecture can be seamlessly integrated into the unique Cycladic landscape, respecting local character while meeting modern standards of comfort and functionality.

Our team was responsible for the full development and project management, delivering the project from scratch in just 21 months. Managing a complex process that included construction supervision and on-site ex*****on, our goal was to ensure architectural quality, cost control, and strict adherence to timelines - key factors for successful development.

The architectural design was led by - Epaminondas Daskalakis, with a strong focus on simplicity, material authenticity, and harmony with the natural terrain of Sifnos. The result is a residence that blends effortlessly with its surroundings while offering a contemporary living experience.

Photography by Kontos Photography captures the relationship between built form, light, and landscape, highlighting the essence of Cycladic architecture and the project’s connection to place.

Development and project management were undertaken by Space Dreams, overseeing every stage of the process to ensure a high-quality outcome that reflects our expertise in architectural development, luxury residential projects, and island construction management.

This project represents our approach to building architecture that is rooted in place and efficiently delivered. 😎 😎

[sea salt] 🌊🧂In this summer residence near Sifnos port, we tried to host in this old 60’s era shell, a whole new perception of what vacation is. We unified the two levels in one, keeping the bedrooms below the living space, while initiating a calm color palette in furniture and floor choices.
