SHARED GROUND
Collective Living

The village condition defines the spatial logic of the project.
Three housing typologies are organised into small clusters, forming informal neighbourhoods around shared outdoor cores for gathering, dining and rest.
At the centre, an elevated plaza brings together communal functions—restaurant, café and retail—acting as the social heart of the settlement.
The design balances openness and retreat, supporting both collective life and individual privacy within a continuous landscape of shared spaces.

SHARED GROUND
A Contemporary Settlement

The proposal unfolds as a tourist accommodation complex conceived as a contemporary echo of traditional settlement patterns.
Volumes are dispersed and gently rotated, avoiding rigid order. Curved geometries follow the terrain, allowing the composition to appear as if it has grown over time. Rather than imposing form, the project is shaped by the landscape. A new settlement emerges—rooted in the logic of place, yet reinterpreting vernacular
intelligence through a contemporary architectural language.

A meaningful moment of continuity.

Following our recognition as Best Local Firm through the Architizer A+Awards, Aristides Dallas Architects is featured in The World's Best Architecture 2026 , Architizer's annual publication celebrating distinguished work from around the globe. Receiving this volume while celebrating a new Architizer A+Award in 2026 makes this recognition especially meaningful.

Grateful to Architizer, collaborators and our team for making this journey possible.

We are honoured to share that SHARED GROUND has been selected as the 14th Annual Architizer A+Awards Jury Winner in the Unbuilt Hospitality category.

The project explores hospitality not as a single building, but as a contemporary village. A landscape of rooms, paths, courtyards, shaded thresholds and shared spaces. A place where architecture learns from the timeless intelligence of Greek settlements: human scale, collective life, privacy, comfort, climate, memory and land.

For us, this recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects an ongoing direction in our work: to design hospitality spaces that do not simply stand in the landscape, but belong to it.

Thank you to Architizer and the A+Awards Jury for this honour.

We are very happy to share that SHARED GROUND, A Contemporary Reading
of the Greek Village, has been selected as the 14th Annual Architizer A+Awards
Jury Winner in the Unbuilt Hospitality category.

This is a meaningful international recognition for Aristides Dallas Architects,
within an awards program that brings together projects from around the world.

For us, SHARED GROUND is more than a hospitality project. It is an
architectural reflection on the Greek landscape, hospitality, and the timeless
intelligence of the Greek village.

Rather than approaching the hotel as a single object, the project imagines it as a
small contemporary settlement: a composition of rooms, paths, courtyards,
shaded thresholds, shared spaces, privacy, human scale and deep connection to
the land.

This recognition is especially important to us because it confirms a direction we
have been developing with consistency over the past years: hospitality
architecture not as image, but as an experience of place.

Thank you to Architizer and the A+Awards Jury for this honour.

And a heartfelt thank you to our amazing team, whose daily work, care and
dedication allow us to keep developing architecture that belongs to its place.

We’re proud to share that SHARED GROUND – A Contemporary Reading of the Greek Village has been selected as a finalist at the 2026 Architizer A+Awards in the Unbuilt Hospitality category, placing us among the Top 5 projects worldwide.
This recognition reflects our approach to architecture as a contemporary reinterpretation of settlement, where form emerges from the landscape and traditional village logic is translated into a dispersed, communal way of living.
The project balances collective and private life through clusters of shared outdoor spaces and a central village-like square.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our work.
This milestone encourages us to continue exploring meaningful, context-driven architecture.
