A snippet of our studio's thinking featured in ΤΟ ΒΗΜΑ as part of BOUSSIAS 's March-April 2026 Architect Magazine Issue spotlighting Greece's Emerging Architectural Practices.

For our non-Greek speaking friends:

Projects as “Active Mediators”

The most significant shift in the way we work emerged from the integration and development of a comprehensive ecosystem of Design Technologies, combining BIM, Computational Design, and immersive/extended reality (XR) tools.

This enables us to approach architecture as a sequential process of organising and finely tuning relationships between layered & interfacing systems.

In this context, our projects operate as “active mediators” between energy, atmosphere, physical and digital infrastructure, and habitation.

A system designed for scalability and adaptation.

The hub is configured through the combination of modular pods, allowing different layouts to be assembled based on capacity, program, and site constraints.

From small roadside installations to larger service clusters, the system supports a wide range of deployment scenarios.

Its modular logic enables efficient construction, phased expansion, and the ability to adjust over time as usage patterns evolve.

The Engaia Carports proposal reimagines the EV charging station as a transformative typology that offers the capacity to transcend the conventions set by traditional fuel stations. By critically appraising the motoring industry's spatial impact, it addresses the compromises inherent in the standardized car and gas station relationship, which has led to an uninspired driving experience. The advent of electric vehicles (EVs) and the alternative nature of EV charging stations offer a unique opportunity to rethink both the act of charging, and its broader implications for driving and urban culture.

Introducing Engaia Carports:
A modular carport system developed as an integrated field of energy, structure, and use.

The project explores the carport not as an isolated object, but as a repeatable unit within a larger infrastructural landscape—where photovoltaic performance, structural logic, and spatial organization are resolved simultaneously.

Through a controlled geometric system, the canopy mediates light, shade, and energy production, while maintaining clarity in assembly and adaptability across different site conditions.

The administrative building for the “CTC” Biotech Park transforms familiar materials into something special!
A solid concrete plinth forms the base, topped by a meticulously crafted load-bearing stone structure and textured gabion walls.
What’s the 🍒? A hybrid system of post-tensioned stone beams elegantly supporting the roof, showcasing innovative engineering and architectural expression.
Sustainable, tactile, and forward-thinking...!

The proposal for the CTC Biotech Park carefully balances adaptive reuse with new construction.

A series of decommissioned refrigeration units are repurposed and extended, transforming them into startup workspace cells.

The new urban block emerges as a hybrid, "plug-in" assemblage achieved through capping, bridging, and expanding the existing infrastructure.
