The AISC Steel Teaching Sculpture--a 2,500-lb steel assembly installed on more than 170 campuses worldwide--just got a classroom-friendly upgrade.

Thanks to detailer Lee Parrish, students can now explore a portable, 3D-printed version of the iconic sculpture. The scaled-down replica, dubbed the “Ellitree,” highlights the same wide range of framing systems and connections as the original, with a 21st-century twist: built-in QR codes that link directly to the corresponding connection drawings.
