All paint, sweat, and smiles! 🎨☀️

Our team had an unforgettable day co-creating this 18m-long Community Mural alongside vibrant local students and long-time kaifongs at Sau Mau Ping Estate this Monday!

Seeing different generations paint together to bring the story of Lalang Grass and estate history to life truly shows the spirit of community wellbeing. 🌾✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! We can’t wait for the rest of the Facade Beautification and Minor Improvement Works to begin. Stay tuned!

A Mall Entrance & the Public Lounge

Inspired by the location of the mall at Cherry Street【 櫻桃街】in Tai Kok Tsui,
the concept – ‘Cherry and Growth’ reinterprets the essence of cherished moments, creating a fluidic atmosphere for an old mall that is filled with learning centres.

Growth = Learning with Diversity + interactive experience

The new design maximises the entrance frontage to attract more attention in the neighbourhood. Growth is expressed by curves flowing from ground to the different parts in the mall, accentuated with pleasant colour inspired by cherries and trees.

萬家靜謐 · 平安是福

At Tuen Mun’s On Ting Estate, HIR Studio has completed the renovation under the “幸福家族” (HAppy Family) project.
Drawing from the iconic House-shaped patterns found throughout the estate and its signature purplish-blue façades, we holistically integrated the “Home · On Ting” theme across façades, murals, public spaces, lobby interiors and wayfinding systems — strengthening residents’ sense of belonging.

A place we can truly call home. ❤️

安定邨「家 · 安定」

At Tuen Mun’s On Ting Estate, HIR Studio has completed the renovation under the “幸福家族” (HAppy Family) project.
Drawing from the iconic House-shaped patterns found throughout the estate and its signature purplish-blue façades, we holistically integrated the “Home · On Ting” theme across façades, murals, public spaces, lobby interiors and wayfinding systems — strengthening residents’ sense of belonging.

At Ting Lung Plaza, we worked with a local illustrator to create a mural that celebrates Tuen Mun’s rich agricultural and fishery heritage. Whilst the ventilation corridor( 通風走廊) is now a warm “Home” themed rest area with thoughtful seating (complete with cane rests for the elderly) and power outlets for future community activities.
We’ve also reimagined the children’s playground as a “little village” with integrated greenery, upgraded fitness facilities for all ages, and added age-friendly details like distinctive house signage to make the estate more inclusive and welcoming.

A place we can truly call home. ❤️
