Mali Mir - Little Peace
Welcome to our house – we named it “Mali Mir", meaning “little peace” in Croatian :)
It also stands for the beginning letters of our names: we are two sisters, Marina & Mirella. And above all, it reflects what this house represents to us – a little oasis of tranquility, love and harmony, where people can get together and enjoy life :)
Pursuing our dream of owning a small,
old stone house on a Croatian island, we found Mali Mir in 2011. It was love at first sight! One of the oldest houses in the village (250 to 300 years old), it was last inhabited by an elderly couple in the 1980s. We spent most of 2012 renovating the house and we are very happy and even a little bit proud to finally enjoy our Mali Mir and also, to share it with our friends, family, visitors, guests…
If you decide to make Mali Mir/Little Peace your summer home, you will live in a comfortable apartment of about 55 m2, spread onto two connected floors, and a 50 m2 terrace with a beautiful, sunset view of surrounding hills, mountains and villages. The apartment can accommodate 4+2 people in 2 separate rooms, one of which is an open space “roof gallery”. There is also a fully equipped kitchen/living room and a bathroom. We have tried to keep everything simple, natural and cozy, using authentic local materials as much as possible. Mali Mir is situated in the old part of Vrisnik and surrounded by pleasant neighbors, both villagers and holiday-makers. You can park your car in the village parking and walk 1-2 minutes through charming narrow stone paths to reach the house. A well-equipped bakery and a good restaurant can be found in the village, and a small supermarket just 1,5 km away in the village nearby. Within 4-5 km from the house, you can discover beautiful beaches, small towns, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, shops, entertainment etc. Town Hvar, with its world-famous night-life and an international flair is only 25 min away by car. Mali Mir/Little Peace can be rented out throughout the year. For prices and conditions, please contact us.
