Designing this project was about finding a balance between modern living and timeless Mediterranean character. Natural stone, vertical timber, and clean architectural lines work together to create a home that feels grounded in its surroundings while still contemporary and refined.

Large glazing opens each space to light, nature, and views. The rhythm of repeating forms gives calm structure, while the warm textures soften the geometry. Landscaping is kept intentional and minimal — enough to frame the architecture, never competing with it.

This is a home designed to age gracefully, to feel rooted, and to offer quiet luxury through material honesty, proportion, and simplicity.

Architecture isn’t just about building. It’s about atmosphere, identity, and moments — sunlight on stone, shadows shifting across façades, the feeling of arriving home.

This modern duplex in Istria blends clean contemporary lines with the region’s classic materials. Local stone, timber accents, and terracotta roofs give the architecture its Mediterranean soul, while large glass openings and bold geometry bring a fresh, modern character. Each unit has its own identity yet stays connected through a shared rhythm of stone, wood, and light. It’s a refined take on Istrian tradition—rooted in place, designed for today, and shaped by the landscape around it.

This residence balances Mediterranean warmth with contemporary clarity. The façade pairs textured stonework with smooth plaster, letting natural light play across contrasting surfaces. Large glass openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, pulling the landscape directly into the living spaces.

The pool terrace is designed as an extension of the home’s social core—broad, low-profile loungers and generous planting guide the eye along a clean horizontal line that mirrors the architecture’s geometry. A cantilevered upper volume frames the outdoor area and creates a sheltered zone for year-round use, while the rooftop deck adds a second layer of open-air living.

Every element is composed to feel calm, refined, and quietly luxurious, with materials chosen to weather beautifully and evolve with the site over time.
