👋 Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! 🎉

This is our first update of the year, and we are so happy to share some big progress on the renovation of our 100-year-old vályogház in Zalkod. After many months of hard work, we finally finished our first room, and the tiling is done too—this is a huge step forward for us! We want to say a big thank you to the local professionals who are helping us with their skills and hard work. Step by step, we are turning this old house into a cosy and beautiful place where we can welcome guests later this year. Thank you for following along, and stay tuned for more updates! 🚪🍷

Renovating a farmhouse in Bodrogzug 🏡🌿

As I’ve shared with you already, we’ve embarked on transforming a 100-year-old traditional Hungarian farmhouse with vályog (mudbrick) walls into a modern yet cozy holiday home next to the Tokaj wine region, in Zalkod, the last settlement of the wetland between the Tisza and the Bodrog rivers. 🍇✨

🌍 Our house sits in this beautiful, natural location, by Dió-ér and surrounded by a wetland flooded with water in the springs, perfect spot for canoeing and hiking!

🌱I have some updates: we planted over 200 plants this spring, and they’ve already started growing and thriving. The garden is becoming a beautiful, green retreat, and we can’t wait for it to be fully transformed.

🏠 Inside, we’re renovating the house to create a 3-bedroom and bathroom, 1 livingroom home with a spacious kitchen. We’re working with local professionals on the tiling and heating system right now, and we aim to have it all finished by the beginning of next year.
As we end each day working on the house, we are greeted by the most beautiful sunsets over the wetlands, reminding us of the magic this place holds. More updates will come as we move closer to completion! 💚

I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your trust and support in my carpentry and fixer services. 🛠️ It has been a true pleasure to work with you on your projects. 🏡

However, I wanted to let you know that starting in September, I will be suspending my business as I embark on a personal project that I’m very excited about. 🌟 I will be dedicating my time to renovating a countryside mansion in the beautiful Tokaj wine region. 🍇🏰

✨Turning Visions into Reality: Crafting 10 Market Stands✨

This summer, I embarked on an incredible journey, bringing to life a vision for a spectacular 3-day event.With nighttime concerts and a marketplace featuring local producers and restaurants, it was a true celebration of community spirit.
To make it all happen, I crafted 10 robust wooden stations, each designed to withstand the weight of even the heaviest goods.
Starting with a sketch on paper, I meticulously planned and built a 1/10 model. This step was crucial, ensuring that I ordered only the exact materials needed, keeping the project efficient and cost-effective.
With every project, I make it a point to consider the technical aspects thoroughly. This attention to detail allows me to provide the most accurate cost estimates, a promise I take seriously.
Once I perfected a beta version of one station, I replicated it with precision for the remaining nine. The assembly process was a breeze for my client, akin to putting together an IKEA furniture. Seeing it all come together was rewarding, and I'm proud of the final result.
It's these challenges that fuel my passion for what I do. 😊🔨

🔨 Crafting Sauna Serenity: A Labor of Love! 🔥🌲
I had the privilege of working on a project that's close to my heart. A client wanted a bench that could take on the heat - we're talking a scorching 90°C - and hold up to 300 kg of pure relaxation! 💪🔥
You see, saunas are my passion, and I knew just how important this piece would be. The bench needed to be both strong and beautifully designed. So, I got to work, starting with a sturdy spruce wooden frame and crafting a custom 90° angle for the front door.
To ensure a comfortable and safe seat, I chose top-notch poplar and secured it with invisible screws. No one wants to endure a sizzling seat on overheated iron, right? 🔩😅
When it comes to saunas, the choice of wood is everything, so II insisted on the finest non-toxic material. Have your sauna dreams? Let's make them a reality! 💭🔨
