I'm loving all the greeeeeen in my native flower bed right now, but the anticipation of the flower explosion is killing me... especially since the Mock Orange is going to bloom for the first time! And if you practice chaos gardening like I do, here's the proof that is perfectly acceptable to just shove some bare root shrubs in the ground without any thought to planning or mulching, lol. I just keep pulling the grass away from the stems so they're not choked out.

Beginning of Summer native flower update! Clarkia just opened it today, California Poppy still going strong, the first Fireweed opened today, and Grand Collomia looking sparkly like some other kind of herb 🙃
