Job Vacancy

CAD Drafter

The required individual should meet the following criteria:

- Three-plus years' experience in the residential or commercial sector
- A relevant university degree or have a robust technical draughtsman background within the shopfitting sector or an architectural background
- An understanding of work stages of design and construction industries is advantageous
- Must have excellent all-round technical knowledge and attention to detail in every aspect
- Experience in construction methods in particular internal make up
- Must be fluent in AutoCAD for the lead architect/designer on a project
- Must have good organizational skills
- An ability to comply with standards and protocols
- A creative flair with Photoshop, 3D modelling (SketchUp) and presentation skills are advantageous
- Must be fluent in English
- Works well in a team environment

Responsibilities

- Produce CAD drawings for the lead architect/designer on a project
- Visit the site to check on the progress of building works and take minutes to inform other team members for both construction and interiors being executed
- Produce lighting/power drawings along with plumbing, joinery, gypsum and other trade drawings for a site to be rendered finished and functional. Experience in this is required
- Produces final package drawings that will accompany bills of quantities, to the level of detail necessary for both accurate tenders and site ex*****on
- To be able to develop the design of bespoke elements in more technical detail fit for a site or costing purposes, i.e. bespoke joinery, fireplaces, and staircases. To send drawings to specialist companies and request quotations
- To co-ordinate drawings between various consultants and suppliers and other members of the team within the office
- Must be competent in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for scheduling and email correspondence

Salaries are negotiable for the right candidate.
Working time: Regular, Monday to Friday

Requirements

* We are seeking a highly motivated and talented designer with 4-6 years of Architecture & Project experience who excel in conceptualization and the translation of ideas through to exceptional design outcomes
* Collaborate on preparation designs to meet client’s program, quality guidelines
* Demonstrated general knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction technique related engineering principle and building code
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree Architecture
* Required skill(s): Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD and basic hand sketching skills
* Required language: FLUENT in ENGLISH
* Applicant must be willing to work in Ubud, Bali
* Full-Time position(s) available

Responsibilities

* Capable of clear and effective communication with clients and exhibits strong presentation skills, interactive working method
* Prepare designs and technical drawings and solutions to complex architectural and interdisciplinary problems, develops, checks designs and details, provide routine site visit, participates on-site meeting & email correspondences
* The successful applicant will be experienced in residential design and resorts
* The ability for quick thinking, clear communication of ideas verbally and through sketches/visualization
* Ability to multi-task and working towards multiple deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
