A NEWS UPDATE FROM THE BOATYARD....

Further to much thought the team at Murt’s have made the decision to close Boatyard for the winter months.

When opening a street food location, it was always our intention to bring something to the community of Arklow. We saw something in The Boatyard and thankfully with the support of the local community it was brought to life.

But we are realistic. As the weather gets colder and the days get shorter the appeal of the boatyard will not remain the same. We did consider investing in shelter and different heating options, but really that is not what the Murt’s experience at the Boatyard is about. We believed in creating a vibe which combined great tasting food in the open air with a combination of live music and different events. We’d like to think we delivered on most of this and brought something different to the town of Arklow.

We are exploring various options to keep us busy throughout the winter months including developing our BBQ and contract catering offerings (watch this space for that). Of course, we will also be planning on how we will enhance the Murt’s Boatyard experience when we return in the Spring. But that’s for another day.

Murt’s will remain open until Saturday 28th August. We can assure you our food quality and the Murt’s experience will very much remain in place until our last customer is served. We will also continue with our live music offering between now and then. Keep an eye out on our social pages for updates on this. If you have yet to experience Murt’s do please drop down before we go and, if you’re a regular, we’d of course love to say goodbye. Of course, if you can’t make it we’ll see you when we return!

All that remains for us to do is to say thank you to you all for your support over the past few months, truly it’s been blast. Hopefully we’ll see most of you down this week!
