☀️ Another local Solar Home installation in Athenry!

Colm is on site with another fantastic solar installation, featuring 22 REC solar panels, with panels installed across both a slate roof system and a single ground mount.

This system is on track to produce around 38kWh of energy today, with more than enough generation to power the home throughout the day, alongside the battery storage system. ⚡

The installation also features an AlphaESS Smile 5 inverter and two 9.3kWh batteries, providing sleek, modular and efficient energy storage for the home.

Making the most of every property ☀️

Not every home has the ideal roof space for solar panels, but that does not mean solar is off the table.

This recent ground mount installation is a great example of how we can design a solution around the property. With 22 REC 470 watt panels installed on a 35 degree frame, the customer can now make the most of the available space and generate their own renewable energy. 🌞

Shane joined the Solar Home team at the end of 2023 and has quickly built his skills and experience across roofing and solar installation.

Since joining us, Shane has completed the appropriate training and courses to ensure he can carry out his work safely and to the high standards we expect across every installation. 👷

No south facing roof space? We have a solution ☀️

At this recent Solar Home installation, the property did not have enough suitable south facing roof space for the customer’s solar requirements. Instead, we designed a 22 panel ground mounted system, giving them the additional space needed to make the most of solar energy.

The system uses REC 470 watt panels mounted on a 35 degree pitch frame, with the ground mount installation completed in just one day once the foundation was ready. 🔋

The cabling runs back to the garage, where the inverter and Alpha ESS battery storage system are installed. In this case, the customer has almost 28kWh of battery storage connected to a 5kW unit, providing substantial energy storage for their home.

Every home is different, which is why we work with our customers to find the right solar solution for their property and energy needs.
