Thinking About Applying for the Windows & Doors Grant?

Before you apply, here are the main requirements you need to know:

1️⃣ Your property must have been built and occupied before 2011
2️⃣ The property must have a valid MPRN (electricity meter number)
3️⃣ Eligible applicants include:
Homeowners, landlords, companies/OMCs, registered charities, holiday home owners, and Approved Housing Bodies
4️⃣ You must be replacing existing single or double glazed windows with high-performing new windows and/or replacing inefficient external doors
5️⃣ New windows must achieve a U-Value of 1.4 W/m²K or better
6️⃣ Your home must have adequate attic and wall insulation — rated Good or Very Good on the BER Advisory Report, or achieve a Heat Loss Indicator (HLI) of 2.3 W/K·m² or better
7️⃣ You must apply to SEAI and receive your grant offer before any works begin
8️⃣ All works must be completed by a registered contractor
9️⃣ A post-works BER assessment is required after installation and this is also grant aided

If you’re not sure whether your home meets the insulation or HLI requirement, a Pre-Works BER Assessment can confirm your eligibility before you apply.
