🚜 𝗡𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿 – 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆
We're standing with farmers across Ireland to say NO to the Mercosur trade deal. ✊

This Saturday, January 10th at 11 a.m., there's a protest in Athlone and we're encouraging everyone who cares about rural Ireland to come along and make your voice heard. 📢

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: ⚠️
❌This deal is bad for Ireland. It's bad for rural Ireland. It's bad for rural economies like ours. 🌾

❌The Mercosur trade deal would flood our market with substandard products that don't meet the same standards our farmers work so hard to uphold. We've already seen what's happened with cheap grain imports coming into Ireland – beef will be next if we don't stop this now. 🥩

❌Our farmers can't compete with products produced under lower environmental, animal welfare, and food safety standards. This isn't just about agriculture – it's about the future of rural communities and the values we stand for. 💚

We commend Michael Fitzmaurice TD and the only politicians we can see making a real effort on this issue. 👏

Protest Details: 📍 📍 Athlone – Saturday, January 10th, 11 a.m. 🚜 Tractor and vehicle cavalcade around the town, crossing the River Shannon 📢 Rally at the indoor sports arena at Technological University of the Shannon (old Dublin Road, formerly AIT)

Please come up and support the No To Mercosur protest. Rural Ireland needs to stand together on this. 💪
