Breathing New Life into a Derelict Property

A fantastic example of how an older property can be given a new lease of life, creating a modern family home with an architectural twist while retaining the character and charm of the original building.

This design brings together the existing traditional stonework of the traditional cottage with a striking agricultural inspired extension, creating a lovely contrast between old and new.

Projects like this can be a great opportunity for eligible homeowners to explore the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant, helping to bring vacant and derelict properties back into use as comfortable, modern homes.

We’re delighted to share one of our latest residential planning applications for this striking DCB New Build overlooking Lough Foyle.

The design combines a contemporary feel with a simple, elegant form featuring white rendered walls, contrasting zinc cladding and wide, open glazing to create a bright and modern family home while encapsulating the stunning views of the water.

We look forward to see this project progress through the construction stage!

We had a beautiful day remembering Michael yesterday. He put the sunshine on for us and it was so, so lovely to see so many familiar faces old and new rocking up to enjoy a fun day out on the links in his memory.

It would have been Michaels perfect idea of a day out - golf, followed by beer in the best of company.

Huge thanks to everyone who made an effort to play on our outing and to those who don't play golf, thanks for showing up at the 19th hole. We loved seeing each and every one of you ✨️

Thanks to the North West Golf Club for allowing us make their beautiful course our home for the day and to the Halfway House for the use of their fresh lounge for the evenings entertainment. A special word of thanks to Hugh Mc Daid and Michael King for tallying out the score cards for 148 people and to Brian Mc Elhinney for all his help in the run up to our event and on the day!

We had the best day and night and we know he was with us all 🥰

Today marks 10 years since Michael Galbraith passed. The man who started it all.

While many knew Michael as a talented architect and the founder of our business, but those who knew him best knew that his greatest pride was his family.

This photo captures the man behind the business: a devoted husband & father to his wife & six children, whose love, guidance and values continue to shape not only his family, but also the practice he built.

Michael is missed every single day, but his influence lives on in the family he cherished, the work he was so passionate about, and the lasting impact he made on so many lives.

Today, we remember Michael with love, gratitude, and pride. 🤍

We have a limited number of tee times available for our Michael Galbraith Memorial Mixed Golf Classic.

This event is due to take place this Friday 24th July, with over €3,000 in prizes up for grabs.

The competition is a team event, with 2 best scores on each hole counting, along with a Yellow Ball team prize, overall individual winners, and plenty of fun novelty holes!

The presentation will be held in The Halfway House, Burnfoot on the evening of Friday 24th July.
