The Equinox sunrise alignment at an Grianan Ailigh / The Grianan of Aileach in Inishowen, County Donegal is one of the most spectacular ancient Irish engineered phenomena. Forgotten in time but rediscovered by my good friend Bettina Linke / Grianan Swilly. When skies clear it a joy to behold. The Vernal Equinox this year occurs on Friday the 20th of March at 2.46pm but at sunrise, from around 6.45am for a few days either side, you can witness the alignment yourself!
