Congratulations to Carlow County Fire & Rescue Service on their launch of cutting edge technology to provide a safer, faster and more effective emergency response for Carlow homes and businesses.

The introduction of thermal imagery drones will allow fire crews to identify sources of heat at fires that might take place outdoors or in large buildings. It's another step forward in providing a safer, more efficient fire service in County Carlow.

Our CEO is an active committee member of , and we were delighted to participate in the Club Carlow Business Summit on Friday, 14th Nov 2025, presented in partnership with Carlow County Council and Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet.

The summit focused on Empowering Business Resilience, a theme inspired by the values that have long defined both the GAA and Carlow’s business community: resilience, teamwork, leadership, and unwavering commitment. The energy in the room was palpable! 🚀

Speakers including Brian Cody, Jim Gavin, Anne Heraty, and Denis O’Brien, delivered a collective message that success, whether on the field or in the boardroom, depends on resilience, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence with consistency and focus.

The summit called for the development of a Centre of Excellence for GAA in Carlow, and everyone in the room was inspired by a vision of the future where sport and business excel, for the good of the entire county.

It was clear that VSS Ireland and the business community in attendance are willing to fly the green, red and yellow flag in support of Carlow’s sporting future ⭐🏆⭐

National Fire Safety Week October 13 - 19th, aims to enhance fire safety in Ireland. This year, the focus is on Community Fire Safety, highlighting the importance of looking out for one another and supporting the more vulnerable members of our community.

Our home County Carlow County Fire & Rescue Service have produced a new video promoting a vital new Home Fire Safety visit initiative being offered in Co Carlow which we urge residents to avail of. This is just one of many community initiatives running across Ireland this week.
