A lot of people are shocked at building & carpentry prices right now
But here’s the reality and some context👇🏽
We got yet another supplier update this week - prices going up again. Some of them by up to 20%
And they never really dropped after COVID.
So when you get a quote and think it’s high, it’s not just numbers being thrown together.
Everything behind the scenes has gone up for building firms:
* materials (even small things down to screws & adhesives, it all adds up)
* fuel
* deliveries
* tools
* insurance
* literally everything
We get hit with it, and it filters through.
On top of that, we don’t cut corners or swap things out just because they’re cheaper if the quality isn’t there.
We use good materials and do the job properly - because cheap now usually means problems later
We know it’s frustrating; it is for us too.
Just a bit of context if you’re pricing anything at the moment - a €50k job last week could easily be closer to €55k now with recent increases.
