It’s been a while since we made a post so we decided we may as well make this one a bit different.
This picture was taken at the Townspark Vintage tractor run circa 2013.

We are commonly asked “Do you still own the Renault?” Followed closely by “Would you sell the Renault?”

Yes we do still own the Renault.. and No we wouldn’t sell it.. sorry to disappoint.

This Renault 981 was purchased by John in 1983 from Smyth’s Distributers of Long Mile Road Co. Dublin, meaning it was the first tractor John purchased to officially begin his contracting business.

Powered by a straight 6 naturally aspirated MWM 6 cylinder this tractor spent countless hours ploughing, spreading slurry but mostly pulling a Pottinger Mex 5 & 5 Mex 6 forage harvesters,

In later years becoming semi-retired to some agitating, tedding & raking, it began to look a bit tired,

Undergoing an extensive cosmetic “Reno-vation” it is now nearing completion, so stay tuned..
