After ten lovely, exhausting, fun, inspirational, love-filled years at Firmount, it's time for us to say goodbye, to take the next leap into a new adventure.

For ten years one parent was always missing from the movies or canal swims or matches as we dragged beautiful Firmount back from neglect and ruin. So now we choose family and new owners (and no we don't know them) for our beautiful houses.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all our fab supporters, the people who cheered us on, the brides and grooms, the understanding neighbours and above all the grand Dame that is Firmount and the Doctors house. You all brought us love and joy. So take that leap. It will work out. And we will renovate again. ❤️❤️❤️

So we have been quiet on here recently with lots of stuff on. so here's a reminder of the beauty that is Firmount! Here's the side of our home with lovely circles made by David on the ride on mower. It's all about the circles.

That bush/tree in the middle of the house just can't be killed! It's not good for the house for it to be there but it refuses to be quelled so we are trying to work with it!

By the way we now do Airbnb! Or you can contact us here for short or long term stays, min 2 nights at weekends and 3 nights midweek.

I often don't have time to post when we have weddings and this picture is not even of today's wedding! But it is sometimes wonderful to look at the craftmanship of the Victorian period...the colour and simplicity of the huge double doors, the richness of the floor both rescued and returned to their 140 year old glory. We may have rescued them but we had such underlying amazing materials to work with..

And then the simplicity of white flowers, flickering candles with brown wood, sure what more do you really need...

Aine and Micheal. Just gorgeous. Each person, no matter how long they stay at Firmount, leave a mark on the house, a story within its walls, a footprint in its gardens. That’s why Firmount is different. Each occasion celebrated here, be it our own or our wonderful guests, becomes a part of the history of a house that has been standing for over 300 years (if you don’t include the castle part in the basement!)

Here’s to the wonderful Niamh and Michael who become a part of our Firmount history today ❤️

Sorry we have not had time to post recently. But here’s a shot of todays set up. It feels wonderful but strange having larger ceremonies back at the house after almost two years of more intimate but equally wonderful celebrations. So here’s to back to normal and health and happiness to all.❤️
