Hi everyone!
The playground will be closed tomorrow from 9.30am until 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday) for essential gardening, weeding and maintenance.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Lots of work has been going on recently around the community.
Three community groups came together and applied for a Climate Action Grant.



We were successful 🥳
So you might have noticed some bike shelters around the community along with water refill stations. These are a brilliant addition to our area and they will help improve numbers of both children and adults opting to travel by bike, now that they have a safe and dry area to store their bikes.
The water stations are intended to reduce single use plastic and encourage everyone to carry their own refillable water bottle.

This is a great example of community groups coming together and working for a shared benefical outcome for all.

Four really fun days of sport, outdoor games, arts & crafts and creative activities.

📣 GREAT NEWS!!!!
Today we signed our contract with Galway Rural Development for funding under the Rural Development LEADER Programme 2023-2027. 🎉

We secured funding of €51,854.20 from Leader funding, with an additional €15,000 coming from ._martinakinane_ LPT Discretionary Fund, and match funding of €3145.80 coming from Clarinbridge Community Playground.

Works will begin shortly to make improvements and future proof the playground for years to come.
✅ New bound rubber mulch will cover the entire central area, getting rid of any mucky spots and helping the playground to become an all weather facility & improving access for all.
✅ New bound rubber mulch will be laid under the full length of the zip-wire, again eliminating mucky areas & improving safety.
✅ The roundabout will be repaired and moved to a better location.
✅ A new climbing frame will be installed.
✅ New sensory play panels will be installed.

This is an exciting time for the playground as the original committee hands over the reins to the incoming new committee.

✅ New water refill station at the playground!!
We are delighted to have received a Community Climate Action Grant from
We teamed up with and to apply jointly for this grant. Communities working together 👌
There will also be a bike shelter soon at the playground, also provided under this grant.
Do keep your eyes open around the community as you will soon see other water stations and a bike shelter appearing soon 👀✅

We are having our AGM soon. We would love to welcome new members onto our committee. This would be especially suitable to parents with younger children. It is a community run playground and we must have a strong committee to ensure the playground stays open.
