This attic was a challenge, the house was built in around the late 1800’s so it came with its obstacles, as it is a listed building we had to be very careful with the build.
The way the roof was constructed back then was done by “real” carpenters and no such thing as power tools back then so it was great to see the old school roofing way and the dimensions of the timbers so
It important to make sure we left original timbers alone and work around with what we had to do.
From the space we had to work with I think we made the best possible space and rooms available for the family.
It’s not to often you come across a challenge like this one but it was well worth it as you can see from the final finish.

Here’s a recent attic we done with en-suite with walk-in wardrobes. Lovely sized room and great light from the quad windows.

Client wanted more light and floor space, we do a lot of these knock outs for people and the end result is always the same.
The difference is huge with light and space.

Since our last update on our build we’ve made a huge progress with getting the roof completed, windows and doors in, glass roof completed inside and outside insulation and plastering done, ground works ready for paths floors poured. Getting near to completion.
