The Ventilation Business Area offers system solutions for ventilation and indoor climate. The business area's product and system solutions are aimed at installers and other buyers within the ventilation industry. The product areas are circular duct systems and accessories, technical ventilation products and systems, and machinery for manufacturing products for circular duct systems. In addition to this, ventilation also offers software for design, calculation and planning complete systems for ventilation and indoor climate.

As part of our PPWR readiness work (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), we at Lindab are reviewing the packaging materials we purchase and use across our operations.

We have started with packaging tapes, as this is a simple area to trial with minimal disruption. Early feedback from our workshop team has been really positive, with eco tape alternatives showing strong adhesive performance and better day-to-day securing.

We are also reviewing recycled-content cardboard, right-sized boxes, lower-micron pallet wrap, recyclable films and paper-based protective packaging.

Another area we are exploring is mycelium-based packaging. We are currently reaching out to packaging innovators in Ireland and further afield to understand where these materials could be practical, scalable, and suitable for our operations.

One of the key challenges with more sustainable packaging is balancing environmental benefit, operational performance and cost. That is why we are taking a practical approach, testing options properly before making wider changes.

This work is about preparing for future packaging requirements while finding solutions that reduce waste, support recycling, and work well for our teams and customers.
