From inspiration to drawing to reality – design development of a Hollyhock Tiling into an 1864 house, where a leaf and flower motifs inspired by the Hollyhock are used to solve the different geometry and proportions of the front and rear hallways.

It's tricky to extend an apartment. This 1990’s one bed apartment had somehow been divided into five separate spaces despite only having two windows and an area of 38m2. We stripped it all out, took out the low ceiling and opened this top floor ‘studio’ space up to the roof.
