We recently completed this new Installation at J.R Mahon’s Pub & Brewrey on Burgh Quay.

The installation consisted of (below)

2 x 9kw Toshiba Ducted Split Systems
2 x 9kw Toshiba High-Wall Split Systems
2x 5.6kw Toshiba High-Wall Split Systems

All Indoor Units were painted to match and blend in to the incredible interior of J.R. Mahon's.

This tricky but enjoyable installation was a pleasure to do, and we'd like to thank all the staff at J.R. Mahon's for accommodating us throughout.

Today we popped into The Foggy Dew Temple Bar to carry out service works. A list of what we do during a service below.

Check for any fault codes before we begin ✅️
Remove return air filters and clean✅️
Strip indoor unit covers and clean✅️
Clean and disinfect indoor coils✅️
Clean indoor drip trays and flush drains✅️
Strip down and clean any external pumps connected ✅️
Refit covers and pumps✅️
Reset controller maintenance alarms✅️
Test units individually Cooling✅️
Test units individually Heating✅️
Test unit condense drains and pumps✅️
Collect asset information✅️
Prepare detailed digital job report✅️

Why PPM?

Planned Preventative Maintenance, is a proactive strategy to regularly service on a set schedule to prevent unexpected breakdowns, reduce costly reactive repairs, minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan. It involves scheduling inspections, cleaning, and servicing by trained technicians based on time or usage, keeping systems running efficiently.

We recently called into Fitzsimons Temple Bar to carry out service and repair works on all units.

The client reported that the AC had stopped working, and they had been struggling to heat the nightclub.

On inspection, we found that the systems were completed blocked at the return air side of the units causing poor airflow on the supply side. We gave everything a good deep clean while on site, and luckily we were able to get the systems back up and running with no costly repairs.

Why do we always recommend regular servicing or PPM?

PPM, which stands for planned preventative maintenance, is a proactive strategy where maintenance tasks like inspections, servicing, and minor repairs are scheduled at regular, pre-determined intervals to prevent equipment or building failures before they occur and aims to reduce costly downtime and extend asset lifespan

We recently completed a retro fit installation at Black Amber Gorey Co. Wexford.

The guys at Black Amber got in touch and explained they had an existing MHI A/C system that needed replacement. As the existing system was still operating, although not very well, we were able to carry out an acid test on the original pipeset to check for burnout. Once we confirmed no burnout, we were able to reuse the original pipeset, saving the client €€€€.

The installation consisted of decommissioning and removal of the existing MHI system.

And supply and installation of 1x Toshiba 11kw Cassette type split system to serve the main shop floor.

All works were completed outside business hours to save any downtime for the client.
