Spring Scarification – highly recommended by the Greenfeet Team.
Now is the time to consider having this treatment done.
Scarification should be carried out every 2-3 years to remove any organic matter such as thatch (thatch is your lawn’s upper layer that consists of decaying leaves and other plant materials) and moss that has formed around the base of your lawn.
We cannot stress the benefits of scarifying your lawn enough if you want to have your lawn in tip top condition going into Spring/Summer.
• Removes the organic material from the surface of the lawn, helping it breathe.
• Refreshes a lawn, helping it to absorb water and nutrient much more easily.
• Reduces moss levels in a lawn.
• Stops it becoming ‘spongy’.
