Clayblock offers several key benefits for commercial construction projects.
From a “safety first” perspective, Clayblocks are lighter to handle, have no sharp edges, and require significantly less mortar. This reduces the risk of mortar burns and removes the need for mixers and wheelbarrowing mortar across site. With less overall material required, site movement and manual handling are also greatly reduced.
From a timeframe and efficiency point of view, the system requires fewer trades and simplifies the overall construction process. Projects can progress faster, and buildings can become weather-tight sooner — allowing other trades to work independently of weather conditions. There is virtually no drying time, plaster can be applied directly onto the blocks, and no additional insulation or dry lining is required.
All Clayblock types are structural and suitable for multi-storey construction without reinforcement. In larger concrete-framed buildings, Clayblocks can also be used as an effective infill solution.
