This two-storey residential project is being constructed using 240 mm(wall thickness) uninsulated clay blocks for the external walls, with a concrete first-floor slab. The building will be externally insulated with a continuous wood fibre insulation system to provide a high-performance building envelope.

“Extension” project in progress!
This extension project is well underway. The homeowner chose to retain only the existing front wall, while rebuilding the remaining structure and the new extension using 300 mm uninsulated Clay Blocks.

The completed building will be externally wrapped with insulation, creating a highly energy-efficient home. With this construction system, heating costs will be reduced to bear minimal, while maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature of 19–20°C throughout the winter months.
