It was interesting to hear engineer Tim Joyce look back at Gustaf de Laval and the role his early inventions played in changing the dairy industry. His centrifugal cream separator, patented in 1878, was one of the innovations that helped begin a new era of mechanisation in dairying.
As a DeLaval dealer today, it’s fascinating to see where that story began — and how over 140 years of engineering and innovation has continued to shape the way milk is produced.
