There’s nothing more frustrating than seeing a piece of local heritage damaged overnight.
That was the reality for the community in Omeath when a mural celebrating the Cadger women — an important part of the village’s history — was vandalised.
But what could have been a costly and time-consuming restoration turned into a simple clean-up.
Thanks to GraffStop™ graffiti protection from MSP Coatings Ltd, the mural had already been protected. With some basic materials and a bit of community effort, the graffiti was removed and the artwork restored to its original state.
It’s a great example of why protective coatings matter — not just for buildings, but for preserving the stories, culture and identity of a place.
Prevention doesn’t just protect surfaces. It protects what they represent.
