Site Operatives needed - Waterproofing Works | Hiring Across UK ( London, Bristol and Scotland)

We are currently seeking motivated Site Operatives to join our growing waterproofing teams working across London, Bristol, and Scotland.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a specialist team delivering high-quality waterproofing solutions on a range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

✅ Role Overview
You will be involved in the installation and delivery of waterproofing systems on construction sites, including:
Basement waterproofing (Type A, B & C systems)
Membrane installation and protection systems
Concrete repair and joint sealing
Drainage and tanking works
General site operative duties supporting site supervisors and engineers

✅ What We’re Looking For
Previous construction or waterproofing experience (preferred but not essential)
CSCS card & CITB Approved.
Good understanding of site health & safety
Ability to work as part of a team and follow technical instructions
Strong work ethic and reliability

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from within the Rascor Waterproofing UK & Ireland team.

After more than 15 years with the company, and over 35 years’ experience in the construction, quarry, building and concrete industry, Johnny Byrne has been appointed as Company Director of Rascor Waterproofing Solutions.

A graduate and student of Carlow College, John has spent the past 35 years working within the construction and quarry sectors, building a depth of knowledge and experience that has been invaluable to the development of RASCOR Waterproofing UK & Ireland.

John’s understanding of concrete performance, particularly in relation to below-ground structural waterproofing, has helped excel RASCOR’s technical approach and strengthen our position within the industry. His experience and practical knowledge of the concrete industry have played a major role in how we understand, design and deliver waterproofing solutions for complex structures.

Over the years, John has been involved in some of the most prestigious and complicated waterproofing projects across the UK and Ireland. His hands-on experience, technical judgement and commitment to quality have made him an integral part of the company’s growth and continued success.

Going forward, we are now expanding this knowledge and expertise further into Europe, where John will play an integral role in supporting this next stage of Rascor Waterproofing UK & Ireland’s development and expansion.

It is a pleasure to work alongside someone who brings not only exceptional experience, but also strong leadership, vision and a genuine commitment to progress. Contributions like John’s are rare, and they have helped shape the direction of the business in a meaningful way.

💧 Waterproofing isn't about choosing one system over another, it's about using the right combination of systems to manage risk and deliver long-term protection.

At Rascor Waterproofing UK & Ireland, our RASCOtank Type B Waterproofing System forms the structural waterproofing element of many below-ground structures. By carefully designing the layout of crack inducers into the concrete structure, which becomes a Integral part of the waterproofing strategy.

However, Type B waterproofing is rarely installed in isolation.

For projects requiring enhanced protection, RASCOtank can be combined with:

✅ Type A Waterproofing Membranes - providing an external barrier against water ingress to achieve a Grade 2

✅ Type C Cavity Drain Systems - managing and controlling any moisture that may pe*****te the structure and directing it safely to drainage points.

This combined approach aligns with the recommendations of BS 8102, where multiple forms of waterproofing are often advised for structures where the consequences of water ingress are high.

To achieve a Grade 3, Type A, Type B and Type C systems are needed, designers can create a robust waterproofing solution that offers greater resilience and long-term performance.

Job Title : Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Colnbrook, Berkshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per annum

RASCOR UK Ltd is looking for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This role will support both tendering and commercial management of construction projects across the UK

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare estimates, take-offs and tender submissions.

Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Manage variations and additional works.

Assist with applications for payment and final accounts.

Monitor project costs and commercial performance.

Liaise with clients, project managers and site teams.

What We're Looking For:

Experience in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial role.
Construction industry experience preferred.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
