We finished up this Millboard deck in Portmarnock this week, using Enhanced Grain Limed Oak with white railing around the deck.

Underneath, we used a recycled plastic subframe, giving it a strong, long-lasting structure from the ground up.

Really pleased with how it all came together. The Limed Oak and white railing are a lovely combination and keep the whole space feeling bright and open.

The extension to this home has been finished with Millboard Envello Cladding in Burnt Cedar, paired with a timber-effect soffit.

The rich, natural tones complement the contemporary design and blend beautifully with the rest of the property.

A great project to be involved in, and we're delighted with how it all came together.

We were back to this project, originally completed in 2024, to make a small change.

The original design featured paving in the centre of the deck, but the clients decided to replace it with a Millboard Brushed Basalt inlay to give the space a fresh new look.

It's a simple addition, but one that works really well with the Millboard Limed Oak decking and ties the whole area together.

A nice little upgrade to an already great outdoor space.

A recently completed balcony finished in Millboard Antique Oak.

The combination of the Antique Oak boards and frameless glass balustrade makes the most of the space while keeping the sea views uninterrupted.

A simple, clean design that suits the property perfectly and creates a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the view.

Finished in Millboard Limed Oak, this new deck has transformed the garden into a bright, low-maintenance outdoor space that's ready to be enjoyed.

In our last couple of posts, we shared the installation of the FIRST BASE Ground Screws and the recycled plastic structural frame. Those parts might be hidden now, but they're every bit as important as the finished deck and are all part of creating a quality build.

We're delighted with how this one turned out, and we'd like to thank our clients for choosing us. We hope they enjoy their new outdoor space for many years to come.

A little outdoor inspiration to finish off the week ... a custom-built Millboard outdoor kitchen we completed in Co. Kildare.

Designed and built to make the most of the outdoor space, with plenty of storage, worktop space and the BBQ incorporated into the overall design.

The framing is well underway using joists from Irish Recycled Products.

Made from 100% recycled plastic, theyโ€™re a more sustainable alternative to traditional timber and are ideal for low-level decks. They wonโ€™t rot, warp or absorb moisture and come with a 25-year warranty, making them a great choice for a long-lasting subframe.

Next up is the Millboard decking, and weโ€™re looking forward to sharing how this project comes together.
