What a fantastic few days at this year’s RIAI Expo in the RDS!

We were delighted to exhibit alongside Irish Wood and Interiors Network and and to meet so many architects, designers, and industry professionals. It was great to see such strong interest in our ALPI wood veneer collection.

To top it all off, we were honoured to receive the Best Interior Product Award for the ALPI range. This recognition is a testament to the innovation, quality, and design possibilities that ALPI brings to interiors.

Merenda has won Best Interior Product at the Architects Choice Awards 2026.

At this week's Architecture & Building Expo at the RDS, the panel of assessors chose ALPI decorative wood veneer surfaces, supplied in Ireland by Merenda.

This award means a lot to us because it's chosen by architects. These are the people who specify our surfaces, and they can see what Alpi SpA makes possible. Designed grain. Designed colour. Real wood.

Merenda will be at Architecture & Building Expo 2026, 7–8 October at the RDS Dublin, alongside the RIAI Annual Conference.

We're exhibiting as part of the IWIN (Irish Wood & Interiors Network) showcase, alongside 11 other manufacturers in the furniture related industry.

Continuity of finish breaks down for one reason more than any other: the supplier gets involved too late.

By the time panels, trims and fittings are specified separately, matching colour and grain across all of them becomes a scramble, or gets quietly dropped. We plan for continuity from the start, sequencing veneer sheets, matching flitches, and holding the same standard across every component of a system, not just the main panels.

Brought in early, it's a straightforward job. Brought in late, it's a workaround. Ask us before the specification is locked.

Someone told you this couldn't be done with wood. They may have been right about their supplier, not about wood.

Holding one continuous colour, grain and finish across panels, trims and fittings is usually where the answer turns into "no." That's not a limit of timber. It's a limit of how early the supplier got involved.

Merenda has built the scale and the sequencing experience since 1984 to hold that continuity across natural veneer and ALPI alike, on whatever a project needs.

Told it couldn't be done. It was. If you're looking at a brief like that, bring it to us before you rule wood out.
