Nice feature of brick at gate to seperate old and new tarmac and give a nice feature at gate. We also used brick on flat at edge of tarmac in along avenue with perfect curves and level. But all levels were planned years ago when we were preparing lawn. I also want to congratulate my two sons for completing Croagh Patrick with me last weekend.Great experience for them.

Nice views down here in Balina/killaloe of Lough Derg in Tipperary. A before and after picture of job with 5 metres plus trees. Just to give you an idea of size . See man in photo at 6 foot. We have normal laurel ,beech and Portuguese laurel in here to give privacy. #

Pruning trees. Sap is starting to rise and birds nesting soon so the last few trees are being pruned. Some time people say I prune trees too hard. I say "value for money ".but seriously when you prune a branch on a tree. It multiplies in branches from that point .So a branch can get very top heavy. So it's important to prune closer to the main stem so the branch is good and strong and the tree does not look leggy. The last picture shows a beech tree that got a hard pruning last year and I was just admiring how it was filling out on a return visit to a job .

Another job nearly complete.We put in some 10 foot laurel and 7 foot laurel for sound barrier and privacy with some woodlands mix going into softening laurel. What an amazing place to see and it helps me check again all our safety standards and paperwork.

Christmas trip idea: One of my boys said. "It does not feel like Christmas". So I decided i needed to sort this for them. I organised a trip to Dublin on the train so they could get the atmosphere the second we got off the train at the station. And it didnt let me down. The music and the buzz at the station was brilliant. We went to the Dublin Zoo lights first which were pretty spectacular especially the film projected onto a spray of water. Afterwards we got the luas to the GPO which was amazing with the strobe lights on the Spire.
There was a magical Christmas atmosphere around Arnotts and the Jervis Centre too.
The next day we went to Dublin Castle Christmas Market. There were lots of lovely singing, Christmas Carols and songs which created the Christmas buzz for everyone.
So many things happened like Santa was on the Liffey on a boat and he stopped to talk up to us at the bridge. There was pop up bands everywhere on the streets which was really crazy & added to the trip for us. I would definitely recommend all of the above for at least a day over Christmas if not an overnight like us. Happy Christmas everyone.
