We were delighted to attend the STEM Passport for Inclusion Industry Awards, where Bennett Construction was honoured with a Trailblazer Award.
A very special congratulations to Helena Kiernan, who received a certificate of recognition for her outstanding individual impact and contribution to the programme.
Bennett has proudly supported STEM Passport for Inclusion for the past couple of years through mentoring, work placements and industry engagement, and we are delighted to continue our support in the years ahead.
Congratulations to all of the award winners, and to the mentors, educators, industry partners and supporters who continue to champion this important programme and help create greater access to STEM opportunities for young people.

Its great to see the progress being made at our Headley Court project for Audley Group.
We are constructing a new Retirement Living facility consisting of 100 units along with a central facilities block housing a high quality health and wellness experience.

Structural works are now nearing completion across the 6 blocks and internal fit out works are progressing well.

The landscaping will be starting shortly as the scaffold is being dropped and this will compliment the grounds of the wider estate which are set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the North Downs.

The project team is rightly proud of their progress to date and are working diligently towards the next project milestone of the completion of the show unit in the Autumn.

Last month, Bennett team members came together for our Annual Bennett Seminar in Mullingar.
The morning featured valuable contributions from our own team, including reflections on recent project experiences, key learnings, and discussions around safety and sustainability.
A particular highlight was recognising Cathal, who recently graduated from the QS Earn as You Learn programme, and we celebrated team members who have been part of Bennett for over 20 years. These milestones are a fantastic reflection of the experience, commitment, and loyalty within the company.

We were also pleased to welcome guest speakers from Connex Offsite who shared insights on bathroom pod off site solutions, National Biodiversity Data Centre shared on insights on supporting biodiversity and INET Computer Solutions who spoke about AI in the workplace.

A sincere thank you to all of our speakers for sharing their time and expertise, and to everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging morning.

This World Environment Day, the message is clear: climate action needs a response from all of us.
At Bennett, we recognise the role construction has to play in reducing emissions, improving resource efficiency, and helping to build a more sustainable future.
This year, we are responding through action:
• Beginning our EV fleet transition and installing solar power at Head Office
• Rolling out food waste management initiatives across all of our operations
• Preparing to publish our Sustainability Strategy and Roadmap to 2030
• Introducing our 2026 Sustainability Training Plan for employees
Small everyday actions matter too, from using less energy and reducing food waste to making more thoughtful choices in our communities.

We recently celebrated Cultural Diversity Day bringing colleagues together across our offices and sites to recognise the different cultures represented within Bennett.
The celebrations included BBQs, language activities, cultural maps, and team members sharing home-cooked food, greetings, and insights into the history and traditions of their home countries.
Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to the day.

Yesterday we once again partnered with Shay Murtagh Group for a school visit to speak with students in Castlepollard CC about careers in construction.
It was a great opportunity to share what we do, answer questions, and give students an insight into the different roles and pathways within the industry.
Some of the students recently completed their Safepass through the Construction Industry Federation Safepass for Schools initiative, which is a great step towards gaining practical insight into the sector.

Thanks to Mr Caffrey and Castlepollard CC for having us, we look forward to welcoming you on site in the future!
