🏗️ About the Role
You will play a key role in managing the commercial lifecycle of large-scale mechanical projects, from pre-construction and procurement through to final accounts. Working alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Teams, and Senior Management, you will help ensure projects are delivered successfully, on budget, and to the highest standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
✅ Managing project costs, budgets, and forecasts
✅ Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
✅ Managing subcontractor packages and accounts
✅ Monitoring project cash flow and financial performance
✅ Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
✅ Ensuring contractual compliance throughout project delivery
✅ Producing accurate monthly commercial reports

🎯 What We're Looking For
✔️ Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
✔️ Minimum 2 years' experience within the construction industry
✔️ Exposure to Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, or M&E projects
✔️ Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
✔️ Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
✔️ Have a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability

Great to have David Baxter from Milwaukee Tool on site yesterday delivering a hands-on demo of the impressive M18 FRGRO114 – M18 Fuel Roll Groover 🔧

The team got a great insight into the capabilities, efficiency, and safety features of this powerful tool, with plenty of practical tips shared throughout the session.

Another significant milestone delivered by M&P Mechanical with the successful installation of the Clivet SpA heat pumps for The Land Development Agency Clongriffin project; a major step forward in delivering high-efficiency, sustainable building solutions.

At M&P Mechanical, supporting our local community is something we truly value.
We were proud to make a donation to SAFE Castlebellingham, an organisation doing incredibly important work supporting su***de prevention and mental health awareness within our community.
SAFE provide vital support, resources and a listening ear to those who need it most, helping many local families and individuals during difficult times.
We are honoured to play a small part in supporting the meaningful work they do and we commend the volunteers and organisers who dedicate their time to helping others.
Both Darren and Niamh O’Rourke were delighted to put forward SAFE as a chosen charity for this donation. It’s a cause that is very close to their hearts, particularly for those who struggle with their mental health and may need support and someone to listen to.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our colleagues TJ Collier’s mother and Noel Farrell’s mother-in-law.

At M&P Mechanical, we are first and foremost a team, and our thoughts are with our colleagues and their families at this very difficult time.
As a mark of respect and to support them, our sites and offices will be closed, with limited capacity during the funeral hours.
We extend our sincere condolences to the families and all who are grieving.
