Our Approach to Social Value

At John Paul Construction we are fortunate to work in numerous communities. On each of our projects we seek to leave a positive legacy with what we deliver, but we also have the opportunity to identify the means in which we can add value to those communities.

Recently in Longford, members of our team worked on a - a youth project that assists in diverting young people who are at risk of engagement in criminal activity. We helped fit out the centre with new flooring, paintwork and feature walls.

While in Bergheim, Germany, we donated protective workwear for the animal keepers and volunteers in Tierppark Quadrath-Icendorf. The volunteer-run community zoo and public park is a highly popular destination for both locals and tourists.

Finally in Wales, to support our client's fundraising drive we joined them in hiking up Pen y Fan and raised money for the mental health charity along with Duffryn Community Centre.

A great day bringing our Placement Students together at Head Office!

Our placement students from sites and Head Office came together to share feedback on their placement experiences, reflect on what they've learned, and connect with colleagues from across the business.

The day also included some well-earned fun with a trip to GoQuest, followed by a placement lunch, before rounding off the day at our Summer Party.

A huge thank you to all of our placement students for their enthusiasm, hard work, and valuable contributions throughout their placements. We're proud to support the next generation of construction professionals and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them.
