Have you seen what just happened to the commercial solar grant? 👀

SEAI have almost doubled it overnight. Irish businesses, schools, sports clubs and community groups can now claim up to 45% of their solar installation cost back.

That is not a small difference. Here is what it looks like in real money:

☀️ 50 kWp system — up to €20,000 back
☀️ 100 kWp system — up to €40,000 back
☀️ 200 kWp system — up to €80,000 back

On top of that, businesses can write off the remaining cost against tax in Year 1 under the Accelerated Capital Allowance scheme.

This rate is limited and will end on 6 July 2027. SEAI approval has to be in place before a single panel goes up, so the clock is already ticking.
