Paddy Egan was a great friend to five generations of our family. He was always there for us, in good times and in bad. Paddy was Paddy — a real one of a kind. He was always himself, never a phoney. We will remember him for his unique wit and wisdom, his inventive turns of phrase, his hilarious and mischevious tales from the rare ould times in Ballymote. We extend our deepest sympathies to his children Jacqueline, Rory, Annette, Lorraine, and Catriona, and to his extended family.

Thank you, Paddy, for your lifelong friendship and for all the wonderful memories that console us now. Rest easy, old friend.

It is with deepest sadness that we let you know that Paddy passed away very peacefully early this morning. He thoroughly enjoyed his online presence over the last number of years and greatly enjoyed the interaction with his community of Facebook friends. He will be dearly missed.
