Customer had a leak in the upstairs shower- the customer cut out the damp board and replaced it securely as this was one of the first things we discussed ( or it would have had to come down and replaced correctly before skimming)

They removed the tiles , removed all the damaged plasterboards and reboarded it - also they removed the coving.

Only walls to be skimmed here - coving going back up at a later date by the home owner .

Home owner had a bad enough leak.

This small job was not straight forward at all due to the poor workmanship when the house was originally built .

Water pipes held up by a 2 x 1 piece of timber when it’s fixed to nothing , where the floor joists over lap - one hanging down and electric cables tangled around the water pipes - you couldn’t make this up and this was all brought to the homeowners attention before we started.

This whole ceiling was up and down everywhere making it difficult to match in the patch - an inch in places.

As I always say - we can only work to what’s there , recommended fully reskimming the ceiling to the customer .

New lights went in on the ceiling and walk , the electrician’s had to fish the cables .
