kitchen is made to individual commission fulfilling those tastes and needs and complementing their home environment. As the centre of family life the kitchen has to provide a comfortable and pleasing atmosphere and a clean and practical space for cooking and
entertaining that can take the strains of everyday use. The beauty of a Creative Wood kitchen does not only show itself on the
surface. All doors are constructed by us entirely of solid hardwood, hung in a hardwood frame with inset brass or stainless steel butt hinges,
drawers are dovetailed hardwood. The interior carcasses are all made from solid pine, finished with solid hardwood or granite worktops, resulting in furniture that will last through generations. From the initial concept to installation superior craftsmanship is our top priority. As design is only limited by imagination, our customer’s wishes and needs are always an integral part of the design process. In our workshop our craftsmen transform these ideas into solid wood, resulting in unique and individual furniture.

Work is well underway on these bespoke island gables for an upcoming project. Their curved construction allows the beaded panelling to fold elegantly into the cabinetry at either end. This is certainly one of those details that takes serious work behind the scenes, but we're very excited to see how it looks in the final build.

A few weeks ago, we said farewell to a group of French apprentices who joined us through an exchange programme.

They arrived with a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for the craft. Over the course of their placement, they got stuck into a variety of major workshop projects while also making full use of the workshop and machinery to bring their own personal pieces to life.

When reflecting on their experience, they mentioned how much they enjoyed our open-plan workshop layout, saying it allowed them to “see all steps at once” of our projects.

It was also their first time in Ireland, and they spoke highly of their stay in Westport, from the scenery and architecture to the warm welcome of its residents. They also commented the climb up the Reek was more difficult than anticipated!

We’d like to thank Jules, Flavien, Lokiz, Timotheé and Viktor for all their hard work in being part of our workshop, and wish them every success in the years ahead.

A run of base and wall units were designed to add additional storage to this living room while also adding bench seating for the dining room table, without interrupting the minimalist aesthetic or subtracting from the wild Atlantic coastline.

The dark navy of the kitchen cabinetry is darkened further by the black sink, matching U-shaped tap, integrated oven and pendant lighting, while the palette is warmed by the integrated shelf lighting and wood textures, balancing the color scheme for an overall clear, composed and compact appearance.

It’s been a while, but returns with this striking in-frame beaded Shaker kitchen in light teal and white. Accented with chrome cup handles, k***s and exposed butt hinges, and finished with a cream stone worktop, it’s a space rich in character, warmth and craftsmanship.

While the solid oak breakfast bar, inviting bench nook and curved glazed cabinet naturally draw the eye, the true beauty of this kitchen lies in the accumulation of countless handcrafted details. Friction-fit dovetail drawers with incised lettering, lattice panels, decorative feet, tongue-and-groove panelling and finely detailed cornices. Even the beautifully crafted Sapele interiors and shelving all reflect the same uncompromising attention to detail, demonstrating a level of craftsmanship that extends far beyond the immediately visible.

We recently returned to add a bespoke drinks cabinet and a pair of floating shelves, carefully crafted to sit alongside the original kitchen as though they had always been part of it.
