It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Eamon’s beloved father, Jimmy Snr — known fondly to so many as Daie.
Superglaze was born in Daie’s farmyard, and over the years, countless Sales Reps, Delivery Drivers, Employees, and Customers came to know the warmth of his welcome. If Daie was in the yard during your visit, there was no escaping a stop in his kitchen for a cup of tea and some of Mam’s famous brown bread — a tradition many of us will never forget.
At this difficult time, our thoughts are with all of Daie’s family and friends. We remember especially those who have gone before him — his loving wife Kathy (R.I.P.), his son Jimmy (R.I.P.), and those he leaves behind: Eamon, Joan, Michael, P.J., Mairead, Martina, Pauline, Colette and Colm.
He was a cherished grandfather to 33 grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to 20.
Sadly missed by his loving family, nieces, nephews, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Rest in peace, Daie. You will always be loved and your legacy will remain forever in the Half Way.
