Here's a great full gut renovation in the heart of Baka — and the results speak for themselves. This apartment started as a classic shikun layout with nearly every wall acting as a load‑bearing element. Add in the massive exterior walls created by a recent TAMA 38 reinforcement, and we were looking at a structurally complex projects.
By integrating custom steel columns and beams, we opened the entire home into a bright, modern, free‑flowing space — the kind of transformation most people don’t realize is even possible in older buildings. A refined neutral palette, layered lighting, and seamless detailing conceal the heavy structural work behind a calm, elegant aesthetic.
