How I keep my tools sharp!

Blunt tools are ineffective, waste time and most importantly: DANGEROUS!

Keeping the cutting edge of a tools such as this chisel sharp makes working easier and safer.

I use 3 diamond stones to touch up the microbevel - coarse, medium and fine - and then hone the edge with a strop and some buffing compound.

Doing this routinely keeps my sharpening time to about 3 minutes per tool.

A well sharpened tool should be able to slice through paper cleanly with little pressure.

Behind the scenes of the oak shelves :)

Not just shelves.
A statement.

Handcrafted from oak with clean lines, hidden supports and a finish that lets the grain speak for itself.

Built for homes where quality, beauty and practicality meet in the details.

Natural beauty realized through patience and simplicity.

Letting the wood speak for itself.

White oak, aged naturally over hundreds of years.
Repurposed from the hull of an 18th century ship.

An absolute privilege to be able to work on such a unique piece.

Finished with Ledicode and Deylina from Incrediwood.

Getting some bridle joints dialed in.

I like to slightly taper the joinery so I get a good friction fit as the joint bottoms out.

We don’t hide or ignore mistakes - We fix them.

In woodworking, as in all areas of life, mistakes will happen. Instead of hiding them, ignoring them or trying to convince the client “that’s the way it came from the factory” we take the time to think it through, find a solution, and fix it.

Its all part of the process and sometimes, it’s even enjoyable 😊

This is handmade. No assembly lines. No shortcuts. Simple craftsmanship and attention to detail.
