HQ ARCHITECTS was founded in Israel in 2008 by Erez Ella, a former associate at OMA and at REX. Focusing on a strong pragmatic and programmatic approach, HQ ARCHITECTS strives to question conventions and create culturally challenging buildings, while compounding client resources to achieve maximum utility through design.

We’re excited to see our Stuart Weitzman Tennis Complex featured in Architecture Lab

Designed by HQ Architects the project transforms the long-standing Israel Tennis & Education Center into a contemporary sports and community hub within Jerusalem’s expanding sports district. Six tennis courts are elevated to the upper level, enabling year-round play while freeing the ground floor for training, fitness, and multipurpose sports facilities. A curved aluminum-slat façade filters light, shade, and ventilation, creating a breathable envelope that animates the building. The result is an open, civic-oriented complex that reconnects the formerly enclosed site with the city, bringing sport, community, and urban life together.

The Pit
New Ground, New Rules | Jerusalem Design Week 2026

Over the course of the week, The Pit became more than an installation. It was a court, a stage, a gathering place, a playground and a constantly changing backdrop for movement, performance and unexpected encounters.
