IGDC CREFLAT PROJECT
CREFLAT is an Indo-German bi-lateral project supported by the German Agency KFW. It aims to reduce forest degradation and increase incomes of the target groups by introducing sustainable, climate-adapted participatory management of natural resources in the project area. It is to be implemented over a period of 7 years, Total project cost is Euro 33.2 million of which approx 72% is KFW share. Tripura Forest Department is the nodal department. The project is focused on Climate resilience of forest landscape. It is implemented 191 villages of which 151 lie in the eight development blocks of Dhalai District and 40 lie in three blocks of North Tripura District. The project will improve the quality of natural resources across landscapes, enhance their climate resilience and the ability to deliver sustainable ecosystem and livelihoods services in the future. About more than 1 lakh households are expected to be benefitted from this projects' intervention.
