I have two table in two different database. I have to found count for both table and put into other table.

example : Database --> A , table is T1
Database --> B , table is T2

I want count of both table and put into T3 table in database A or B .

Please let me know how to do this.

Recommendations while creating TEMPDB files and size:
Set the log file to be approximately double the size of a single data file.
The formula recommend for calculating the size of the tempdb files given a drive with a specific size is:
Data file = (Size of drive * 90%) / (Number of data files + 2 [log file will be
double the data file])
Log file = Data file * 2
For example, if I have a 100 GB drive to use for tempdb, and I am creating
1 data file per CPU for an 8 CPU SQL Server, I will calculate the file sizes
to be:
Data file = (100 GB * 90%) / (8 + 2) = 90 GB / 10 = 9 GB
Log file = 9 GB * 2 = 18 GB
The final calculation is 8 data files of 8 GB each and 1 log file of 18 GB
leaving 10 GB free for possible log file growth.

I have one question on this and

8 data file because 8 cpu but why and how 8 GB each and why 10 GB free

How to restore model database.

My Instance was down i deleted model database file. I have .bak file. I tried to restore but its not working.

1. I connected single user mode using cmd.. Its connected but not restored model database.

2. I restored model.bak file in difference instance and then i copied and past from difference instance to deleted instance and then. I tried to start the services but its not worked.

Help me on this how to restore model database from .bak

My database goes into suspect mode ..... As the help of google i was doing alert database as below.

ALTER DATABASE ***** SET EMERGENCY

but its giving below error.

Msg 5069, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
ALTER DATABASE statement failed.

there is no active spid related to this database.

Please help me on this
