A little about us...
Studio Dot is a multi-disciplinary design studio exploring and experimenting with contextual architecture, furniture and product design. We work in close affiliation with artisans, artists and architects and are on a journey to find the values that define contextual design.
We believe that design is an innate quality that should evolve from time to time, place to place and context to context. Incorporating this dynamism in our design, ensures room for new ideas. That quality and our direct collaboration with artisans, gives us our core design philosophies where we creatively collaborate and value the effort gone into the realization of our designs.

CONTEXT
Context is the driving force behind all our designs. A good design is one that can respect the context not just functionally but also aesthetically and ease the ex*****on of the project.
MATERIAL
Design is incomplete without the right material. Material plays two major roles, one of providing structural support and the other of being aesthetically pleasing. At Studio Dot, we believe in the true expression of local materials when it comes to both aesthetics and structural capacities.
COLLABORATE
Collaboration is the heart and soul of the design process. We collaborate with the artisans at work and strive to push our boundaries while blurring them at the same time. We also engage in creative collaborations with individuals and organizations to explore new avenues of design.
JOY OF CREATION
Joy of creation is often not celebrated or given the right importance in the creative process. At Studio Dot, we love to get our hands dirty by prototyping and often working in tandem with the artisans on site.
We believe that working with your hands you not only connect with the material and technique, you connect with the team and design as you begin to understand with more depth. It helps you respect and appreciate the work better, hence the joy of creation.
