When designing homes on compact plots, especially in areas where neighbouring houses are located very close to each other, our primary focus is to maximise natural light and ventilation while maintaining privacy.
In this design, we have incorporated a double-height space to allow more natural sunlight to enter the interiors, creating a brighter, more open, and spacious atmosphere.
The oval-shaped roof opening adds a distinctive architectural character, enhancing the visual appeal of the space while serving a functional purpose.
Privacy is another important consideration, particularly in the bedrooms, where neighbouring buildings may limit the use of conventional windows. To overcome these challenges, we have introduced high-level glazing and capsule-shaped openings in carefully selected areas.
These architectural elements allow natural light and ventilation to reach deeper into the interiors while maintaining privacy from the surrounding houses.
Through thoughtful planning and innovative design solutions, we have transformed the limitations of a compact site into opportunities for better lighting, improved ventilation, and a more positive living environment.
At Planet Architecture, we believe that every space has the potential to become brighter, more comfortable, and more beautiful through intelligent design.
