Designing for People, Culture, and Connection.

Our proposed Community Centre in Chennai was envisioned as more than just a building, it is a landmark for togetherness.

A bold red accent reinforces visibility even from a distance, ensuring the centre becomes a recognisable anchor within the neighbourhood.

#9 – 20x60

Two shared walls on either sides.

A proposal in which we developed the program on a 20-foot linear site. Owing of the plot's vastness, bringing in light and ventilation was our biggest obstacle. In order to address this, we added a small courtyard that helps to increase ventilation and light coming from the east and west.

It had a parking lot on one side and a commercial space on the ground floor. In order to make the balconies appear lighter and to give the plants more room to develop and stand out when viewed from the façade, MS Railing was suggested.

#8 – Inside Out

A Proposal for a Residence in a west facing 30x40 plot in the suburbs of Chennai.

A Neem Tree in front of the plot helped us in the initiation of the design process. As the plot was the facing the west, The tree served as an Ideal shading device to cool the building from the hot West Sun.

In an attempt to accentuate the Greens in the Tree, a red brick façade was chosen for the cladding. This formed the right background to the tree in the foreground.

A Balcony overlooking the street was projected out from the façade and a Sky Blue was proposed to the internal walls of the Balcony.
